Departure on our Amazon Rainforest Tours to the lodge
We begin our amazon tour through the longest and largest river of the planet. The Amazon River, Considered a Natural Wonder of the World. During the riverboat amazon tour we will observe the confluence of the Nanay and Amazon rivers, watching the difference of water colors.
Arrival at the Amazon Lodge. You will be greeted by our staff with a typical fresh juice of our region. Then accommodation.
Typical Lunch.
Boatride on the Amazon river to look for gray and pink freshwater dolphins. This is your chance to jump in the river and swim close to dolphins. We continue looking for wildlife along the riverbank. Then enjoy the sunset on the Amazon river.
Dinner at the Lodge.
Nocturnal walking through the jungle, biological activity differs greatly between night and day time in the Amazonian ecosystem. Listen to nocturnal forest sounds and spot species that only emerge at night. Animals such as fireflies, beetles, walking sticks, frogs, Tarantulas, snakes and nocturnal birds.

DAY 2
We get up early morning around 5.30 am. we take a canoe ride along the black water lake for our bird watching tour. this is the best time to spot different species such as king fishers, toucans, jacanas, herons, hawks, falcons and more. we will have the opportunity to observe the Pre-historic bird called Hoatzin.
Breakfast at the Lodge.
Boat Ride down the Amazon with destination to the Monkey Island, where we can see up to 8 varieties of primates in their natural habitat such as Spider Monkey, Woolly Monkey, Titi Monkey, Tamarin Monkey, Pygmy Marmoset, Howler Monkey, Squirrel Monkey, Monk Saki. We will also observe other animals such as macaws and sloths. This sanctuary of monkeys is a non profitable organization formed and managed by a local family in order to protect the monkeys of the new world. Since 1997 they have been in charge of the rescue, rehabilitation and release of monkeys that have been victims of species trafficking. A very attractive place where children and adults can interact and learn more about these jungle species.
Lunch at the Lodge.
We continue navigating and is time for sport fishing in the Amazon River. Piranhas, catfish, sardins, etc. The tour guide will provide you with the instruments local fishing polls.
Dinner at the Lodge.
Nocturnal lake excursion by canoe ride to hear the rainforest nocturnal sounds and observe different species of animals such as nocturnal birds, Caimans, snakes, electric eel and more.
DAY 3
Full-day Yanayacu River
We enjoy a delicious breakfast at the lodge.
We continue navigating up the Amazon with direction to Yanayacu river basin, a blackwater river rich in flora and fauna, this ecosystem is considered by researchers as the jungle of mirrors. We go in search of exotic birds, mammals, imsects, primates, sloths and to see firsthand the amazing biodiversity of the rainforest along the riverbank.
Box Lunch.
We will do an ethnobotanical walk and will have the chance to see the giant tree Lupuna (Ceiba Petandra), the largest species of tree in the Amazon rainforest that can grow up to over 164 ft (50 mt). You will also see varieties of birds, insects, arachnids, reptiles and amphibians.
Dinner at the Lodge.
DAY 4
Breakfast at the Lodge.
Ethnobotanical jungle walk. In this excursion we will explore through this greenery in search of some medicine that are found in each plant or tree, learning the secrets of nature and the ralationship between the plant and man. At the same time, we will go in search of wildlife and observe the different species of animals in their habitat such as monkeys, sloth, insects, birds, rodents, reptiles and amphibians. We will get to see different emergent trees of the jungle.
Lunch at the Lodge and back to Iquitos to the airport or hotel
